Follow the old carriage
road that once linked the city of Noto with the
Marina and the Hotel Ferla rises
before you like a magnificent scene from Baroque
times. On the edge of the historical centre, in
the old area of “Porta Vecchia” the
“Old Gate,” the modern structure of
the hotel is set amongst the olive and orange-blossom
gardens.

excellent location means it’s easy to
reach the centre, where you will find yourself
amongst Noto’s sacred stones and Arab-like
narrow streets and spacious piazzas. In a
riot of corbels and shutters, wise old teachers’
mouldings, and unique sculptures from mysterious

can boast historical stratifications
and an extraordinary culture, the fruit
of being invaded by many different people:
from the foundation such as Siculi to
the following presence of the Greeks,
Romans, Byzantines, Muslims, Normans
